Editorial: Is There Still Something to Learn about the Association of Corporate Governance with Firm Performance?

2016

The association of Corporate Governance (CG) with Firm Performance (FP) has always been an issue relevant to management literature, despite the notable heterogeneity of studies and their mixed results highlighting the opportuneness of continuing to investigate the association of CG with FP.  The article aims to contribute to this lively debate by pointing out the main causes of the mixed findings and the contributions of three papers which, in the authors’ opinion, add knowledge to the CG-FP research stream, which deserves more empirical research, as there is still something to learn about this association. us possibilities of majorly used social media websites and the products which are be…

The Contribution of TQM to Organizational Ambidexterity: The State of the Art and Promising Research Streams

2015

The purpose of this chapter is to present the state of the art of research on the impact of TQM implementation on organizational ambidexterity. The widespread diffusion of TQM in organizations in all sectors and the already established importance of ambidextrous capability for achieving long-term competitiveness make understanding the connection between both fields a worthwhile objective. We underline the need to include in the analysis the broad and complex nature of TQM. Due to the interactions between its principles and practices, total quality management can act as a platform in creating an ambidextrous organizational context. We also underline the importance of clarity in research on t…

Bibliometric analysis of absorptive capacity

2017

Abstract This study contributes to our understanding of absorptive capacity (AC) by reviewing AC articles systematically using two types of blibliometric co-citation analysis – bibliometric co-citation and bibliometric cartography – for the last 25 years. In total, we analyzed 336 articles (using HistCite ) and 2088 articles (using VOSviewer ), respectively, finding five research streams in AC: (1) intra-organizational learning; (2) inter-organizational learning; (3) knowledge transfer; (4) dynamic capability; and (5) micro-foundations. This integrative literature review of AC adds to the categorization of the literature, links the international business research to AC, and provides promisi…

Findings – The authors identify the conceptual orientations that studies share. Bibliometric analysis allows us to draw an overview of how this field of research has developed, recognizing in essence six main clustered research themes: networks as a framework that sustains fi…

However, this research stream has lacked a clear roadmap or agenda. Therefore, the present article analyzes and synthesizes existing studies of m-banking adoption and maps the major theories that researchers have used to predict consumer intentions to adopt it. The findings indicate that the m-banking adoption litera…
